The Department of Law for the innovation and promotion of local ecosystem developers
SEVILLA - Today, 27 November 2023 in Sevilla, Spain at the Universidad Pablo de Olavide in Sevilla, a competition took place between young start-uppers from different European countries: Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Ukraine and Italy. The Entrepreneurial Pitching Event took place in the framework of the European project AccEnt - Accelerating Innovation and Entrepreneurial Excellence in Higher Education Institutes, which provides entrepreneurial training and mentoring activities for start-ups, offering opportunities to meet professors, innovators and young startuppers from prestigious European universities. The University of Macerata is part of it through the Law Department team led by Professor Francesca Spigarelli. The young Macerata graduates, Jonathan Petrelli and Davis Agostini, presented their Event4You app. The entrepreneurial idea involves management software to organise events and manage the preliminary phase of events (food and beverage management, tables and personnel, bookings, etc.) while cutting costs and organisation time. The young entrepreneurs received several compliments from the international jury and accademic and non-accadenic staff present at the event.
On the same morning, the UNIMC team presented a roadmap proposal, signed by Francesca Spigarelli and Lorenzo Compagnucci, to set up efficient technology transfer offices in the universities, focusing on a new impact notion that goes beyond mere technology transfer.
