Summer School Sibillini - Europa 1st edition

The “Sibillini – Europa” Summer School (1st edition)

The first edition of the “Sibillini-Europa” Summer School took place in Amandola (FM), at the heart of the Monti Sibillini National Park, from August 31 to September 3, 2023.

The school was promoted by the Sibillini Europa Association, and sponsored by the European Parliament, the Representative Office of the European Commission in Italy, and the City of Amandola. The project received further support and collaboration from the University of Macerata (Department of Law, the Jean Monnet BLEUSE Chair, the European Documentation Centre, and the Giacomo Leopardi School of Advanced Studies); the Law, Digital Innovation and Sustainability and LabGov (LDIS) – Laboratory for the Governance of the City as a Commons of the Guido Carli LUISS University; and the ITS Foundation of Fermo.

The Sibillini-Europa Summer School had three primary objectives:

  • Providing advanced training and academic-professional guidance for students interested in the challenges and opportunities of European integration.
  • Establishing a platform for dialogue among experts, young individuals, and the local community on current topics concerning the European Union as a shared political space.
  • Encouraging the understanding and promotion of the Amandola region and the Monti Sibillini National Park, renowned not only for their beauty but also for their seismic and socio-economic vulnerability.

Additional information and the complete program are available on the summer school's website.
