Scholarship for Research Activities

The research scholarship represents a useful tool for recruiting researchers and staff interested in participating in research projects. Usually, these are financed by external funds established as part of agreements or contracts entered into with entities or, again, promoted by public administrations, public and private entities, such as those of the Sergio Lombroso Institute. The research scholarship is not a "subordinate employment relationship" nor is it comparable to another form of income; the fees, rather, are aimed at supporting the training activity for the scientific research to which one adheres. Consequently, the tax and social security treatment is in favor of the research scolarships and the research grants are subject to a subsequent check on the existence of the requisites required for activation.
