Publishing in a foreign language and open access

For the allocation of funds to support the publication of works in foreign languages and open access, the criteria identified in the 2019 call for applications, which remains open, are confirmed.

Applications may be submitted to the Department Council until funds are exhausted.

This is not a competitive call; instead, it is based on the applicant’s request until the available funds are fully utilized. Approval is contingent upon the presence of factors that demonstrate the credibility of the publication, with the applicant bearing the burden of providing such evidence.

2023

In the resolution of July 13, 2023, it was decided to allocate funds for the publication of works in foreign languages and open access (also open to research fellows and doctoral students, with prior approval from their supervisor) amounting to €4,000.

Budget: €4,000 total
The budget for this allocation is divided into two streams:
A) Proofreading/copy editing
B) Contributions toward fees for open access publications.

2022

In the resolution of May 25, 2022, it was decided to allocate funds for the publication of works in foreign languages and open access amounting to €4,000.

B) Contributions toward fees for open access publications.

2021

In the resolution of May 31, 2021, it was decided to allocate funds for the publication of works in foreign languages and open access amounting to €8,000.

Budget: €8,000 total
The budget for this allocation is divided into two streams:
A) Proofreading/copy editing
B) Contributions toward fees for open access publications.

2020

In the resolution of July 28, 2020, it was decided to allocate funds for the publication of works in foreign languages and open access amounting to €3,000.

Applications may be submitted to the Department Council until funds are exhausted (€3,000 to be added to the residual amount from 2019).

Budget: €5,000 total
The budget for this allocation is divided into two streams:
A) Proofreading/copy editing
B) Contributions toward fees for open access publications.
